What is Coaching leaders for future generation?

I work with people with an intention to explore how to respond / act in these times of climate change.

We are living through a period where the actions of humans on our world are manifesting serious negative effects. We all know what these are. My role is not to offer guidance or solutions but rather as a coach to provide you with a safe space to explore your own values, feelings and strengths, and to consider how you would like to respond as a leader to this particular emergency. What is the world we wish to hand on to our children? What would I be proud to say I stood for in these times when I look back? How do I want to engage my experiences and strengths in a way consistent with my values? How can I link in with others on a similar trajectory? How can I act from hope and a sense of love and care?

There are many definitions of coaching. Here are some that I work with:

The goal of coaching is to establish a firmer connection with an inner authority, that can
wisely guide us, for the benefit of ourself, the organisation and the wider community.
— Myles Downey
Coaching increases your awareness of what you do and why; it increases your self-awareness and awareness of others. Thus it enables you to have more conscious choices about how you respond (rather than just reacting with habitual behaviours). So it gives you greater freedom to skilfully, be yourself at your best more of the time.
— Jeannie Hodder

A coach works primarily by asking question to enable you to access your own wisdom, vitality and creativity.

Coaching offers you the opportunity to fully commit to your life’s purpose to help create a more sustainable and happier world for all.
