Stress is something we all experience at certain times in our lives. For some, it is a constant background noise / tension that can be felt in the body, keeping one in a state of constant alert and readiness that can become unhealthy if it goes on for too long.

We now live in a world experiencing Climate change, environmental degradation and also a global pandemic. How can we respond authentically and stay engaged with a feeling of potency and meaning?

The aim of this workshop is to become more conscious of our stressors, how we deal with them, (both in healthy and unhealthy ways), and then implementing nourishing and creative ways of responding.

This workshop consists of 4 x half day sessions in small groups (3 - 6 people) over a 6 month period. We will explore stress using a variety of creative techniques (e.g. creative writing, drawing, music, as well as meditation and Qi Gong - an ancient chinese healing movement form).

Here are some quotes of what past participants have said about the course:

I feel that I now know how to cope with and manage stress better. I would strongly recommend this course to anyone. It has been so beneficial to me this year.

There was room for self exploration about coping with stress, and finding ways to overcome and prevent stress. This exploration was supported by Jeannie, both in sessions and via email etc. Small group size meant that the group was supportive in everyones journey. Sessions were well structured, and involved other ways to cope with stress e.g. art - drawing what does stress look like?, mindfulness, poems.
